Enhancer Heatmap Analysis

We use two key metrics to evaluate enhancers:

This measures how uniquely an enhancer is active in a particular cell type:

Specificity Score = (Activity in Target Cell Type) / (Sum of Activities in All Other Cell Types, minimum 1)

This combines specificity with overall activity level:

Final Score = Maximum Specificity Score × log(Total Activity + 1)

This metric identifies enhancers that are both:

The heatmap ranks enhancers by their final scores, with the most specific and active enhancers at the top.
